Sisters

New Chapters

Anyone who knows me knows how close I am with my family. You can only imagine the heartache I felt finding out that my sister, Aric, Mila and Liam are all moving to Dallas. My sister is my best friend, my mentor, and I look up to her immensely. Although she has two kids of her own, she has been like a second mom to me and watches over me like her own daughter. Not only that, but we are best friends and speak multiple times a day. In fact, my daily morning ritual involves pouring myself a bowl of cereal and drinking my cup of coffee during FaceTime with Mila and Liam while they too have their breakfast. You can imagine all the tears I shed and the pain I felt when I found out they were relocating to Dallas for better job opportunities, and selfishly I didn’t want them to move. However, I am beyond proud of my sister’s strength as a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a sister. Rashan wears many hats in her life and is a solid rock to those who are blessed enough to know her. I know distance only makes the heart grow fonder but I’m already quite fond of my sister and the impact she has had on my life these past 29 years. I am staying positive that Dallas is only a few hour plane ride away and that their move gives me an excuse to do what I love most- travel and explore! I wish my sister and husband the best of luck during this new chapter of their lives! I support them in all their future endeavors!!!
